EXAMPLE RECEIPT
A few good things for home
You check the details.
You decide what gets saved.
Less time sorting slips.
More room for the rest of life.
A simple little habit
Photograph a receipt, choose an image, or add a payment by hand. Android can read text right on your device.
Check the total, date and merchant. Fix anything the scanner missed. Nothing becomes spending until you save.
See spending by month, category and account, with the receipt nearby when you need the details.
A place for the whole picture
Pair your phone and Linux desktop securely. Sync over your local network, or use Tailscale to reach your desktop.
The phone catches the everyday moments. The desktop brings more room—and optional bigger models for the heavier work.
Find your starting point ↗Your ledger stays with you.
Pairing checks who is on the other end.
Useful, without the fuss
Find receipt images alongside payments. Bring in supported bank statements and review reconciliation suggestions.
Use merchant rules, or ask your paired desktop to research unfamiliar merchants. Review the sources before applying a suggestion.
Local scanning keeps images on your devices. Optional category research searches only merchant names and country context online.
Still growing, thoughtfully
Penny Goblin is in early development. Linux, Windows, macOS and Android downloads are available to everyone. Scan results and suggestions always deserve a second look.
